Preface

  Please read this manual in detail before the first clinical use and strictly follow the
operating instructions in this manual.
  To ensure the apparatus functions properly, the apparatus should be systematically inspected before the surgery. When any abnormal phenomenon arise, please follow the instructions in this manual to fix it or contact our company.

Working Principle

  Based on the Joule-Thomson principle, the cryotherapy apparatus usesliquid carbon dioxide or liquid nitrous oxide as therefrigerant for freezing or thawing.
  In the freezing process, the cycling system of the apparatus conducts the high-pressure refrigerantto the cryoprobeand release it at the tip of thecryoprobe.
  In the thawing process, the apparatus closes control valve of vent-pipe first and then conduct the high-pressure carbon dioxide to the venting system. With the rising of the gas pressure in the cryoprobe, the temperature risesto room temperature.
  The operator can use the pedal to switch between the freezing and thawing processes.

Scope of application
It is applicable for cryosurgery for ophthalmic diseases on the retina or in the ciliary body.
