1. Working Principle Based on the Joule-Thomson principle, the cryotherapy apparatus usesliquid carbon dioxide or liquid nitrous oxide as therefrigerant for freezing or thawing. In the freezing process, the cycling system of the apparatus conducts the high-pressure refrigerantto the cryoprobeand release it at the tip of thecryoprobe. In the thawing process, the apparatus closes control valve of vent-pipe first and then conduct the high-pressure carbon dioxide to the venting system. With the rising of the gas pressure in the cryoprobe, the temperature risesto room temperature. The operator can use the pedal to switch between the freezing and thawing processes
